What we do

Strategy and build, under one roof.

The same firm that scopes the work ships it. That is the whole of the accountability claim, and it is why there is no handover between a strategy team and a delivery team.

Three lines run out of that arrangement. You are not expected to know which one you need; the first conversation establishes that.

First conversation

01

AI and software consulting

We establish what should be built and what should not. This covers the diagnostic, architecture decisions, build-versus-buy calls, and the sequencing of a roadmap against payback rather than ambition. It ends in a written finding and a scope, not a deck.

What an engagement looks like

Two to four weeks, senior-led throughout, ending in a written finding and a priced scope.

What brings people here

A build has been proposed or quoted, and nobody in the room can say with confidence whether it addresses what is actually costing money.

What it is not

A strategy deck, a vendor comparison exercise, or a discovery phase staffed by people who will not build the work.

02

AI and software development

We build and ship production systems. Platforms, internal tooling, integrations, and applied AI where it earns its place. Senior engineers on the work throughout, with no junior tier absorbing the delivery.

What an engagement looks like

Scoped against a diagnostic finding and delivered to milestones, with the existing operation live throughout and a working system in production before the final milestone. Where a metric is measurable, part of the fee can be linked to it.

What brings people here

The constraint is established, and what is needed now is a system that survives production rather than a prototype that survives a demo.

What it is not

Staff augmentation, offshore capacity, or a prototype delivered with an invoice for the learning.

03

Technology strategy and transformation

We work alongside operators through a change that spans more than one system. Migration off legacy platforms, consolidation of fragmented data, and the operating decisions that come with both.

What an engagement looks like

A retainer, because the work outlasts a single build. Reviewed at agreed intervals against what it has moved, rather than renewed by default.

What brings people here

A change is already underway, it touches more than one system, and the decisions are arriving faster than a fixed scope can absorb them.

What it is not

An ongoing support contract, a managed service, or a seat on a steering committee.

How we engage

Diagnostic first.

Nothing is scoped before the constraint is established. The sequence is the same on every engagement, whatever its size, and it can end at the close of any stage with something in your hands.

Diagnostic and scope are short, the build is the longest stage, and the retainer has no fixed end. Nothing past the diagnostic is scoped without a finding.

  1. 01

    Diagnostic

Two to four weeks against the three lenses, ending in a written finding.

  2. Nothing past this point is scoped without a finding

    02

    Scope

Priced against the finding, sequenced by payback rather than ambition.

  3. 03

    Build

Senior-led delivery, staged, with the existing operation live throughout.

  4. 04

    Retainer

Where the work outlasts the build, we stay on the roadmap.

Illustrative proportions

The arrangement

Every stage has an exit.

Stopping at any point leaves you holding something, not just a relationship. The rest of the arrangement follows, the part most firms discuss only once something has gone wrong.

  1. 01

    Diagnostic

    Stop here and you have

A written finding naming the constraint, with the evidence for it.

  2. 02

    Scope

    Stop here and you have

A priced plan detailed enough that another firm could build against it.

  3. 03

    Build

    Stop here and you have

A system running in production, not a branch waiting on the next payment.

  4. 04

    Retainer

    Ongoing

Reviewed at each interval against what it has moved, rather than renewed by default.

Scope

Fixed and priced before a stage begins. Where we have misjudged the estimate, that is our cost to absorb rather than a change order to negotiate.

Code

Yours. Repositories, infrastructure and documentation transfer at the close of each stage, not at the end of the engagement.

People

The engineers named at scoping are the engineers on the work. Where that has to change, you hear it before it happens rather than afterwards.

We are not the right firm for everyone.

This works when

This is not for

  • Teams looking for additional capacity rather than a partner.
  • Work where the brief is fixed and the constraint is not open to question.
  • Procurement run as a lowest-bid comparison against a specification that is not open to revision.
  • Companies without an operation for the system to run inside, where any answer we gave would be a forecast rather than a finding.

Start here

You do not have to know which of the three you need.

A thirty minute call, no fee and no deck. You describe the problem, and we tell you which line it belongs in, or that it belongs somewhere else.
