The situation
The client received property inquiries faster than its team could qualify them. Response times lengthened, and viable leads went unworked while the queue cleared.
Every qualification was a phone call handled by a person, so the cost of qualifying a lead grew with the number of inquiries rather than falling as volume rose.
The constraint we found
Unit Economics
The binding constraint
The constraint was the cost of qualifying a lead, not the number of leads. Each new inquiry brought a matching cost in staff time, and a share of good leads was lost to the wait.
At the client's volume, taking the first conversation off the team would pay for itself. At a fraction of that volume, it would not have. The diagnostic established which side of the line the business was on.
What we considered and set aside
Hire more people to qualify calls
Response times fall, and the cost of each qualified lead stays where it was.
Score inquiries and route them to the team by priority
Faster triage, but every call still needs a person, so the cost per lead does not move.
Automate the first conversation
The path taken. A voice assistant holds it in English and Arabic, matches the buyer against live listings and hands the sales team a structured record.
